Clarity®C is manufactured using a specialised, proprietary process that imparts specific unique characteristics to the film. Verus® is a detection technology and device family that Innovia Security has developed to authenticate Clarity®C film, and therefore Guardian® banknotes.
There are a number of things that make Verus® unique; no additives of any sort are required for Verus® authentication, what we authenticate is the film itself, it's characteristics and structure; because the is no additive used there is no risk of any interference with other additive based detection techniques or readable features; because no additives are used Verus® is the only backward compatible detection system on the market — we can read all existing Gaurdian® banknotes in circulation, there is no need for a substrate upgrade.
Verus® devices are available in a variety of forms, from modules for integration into existing note sorting systems, to stand alone desk top note sorting systems to integratable modules for note accepting and recycling ATM units.
